Manali (2050 m) in Kullu district, at the northern part of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, is a popular tourist destination of the State. Stands on the Beas river this hill station is famous for its wonderful summer and a magical, snow-covered winter. 
Manali is the most favour tourist spot of Himachal Pradesh. There are small and large mountain valleys and a large number of apple gardens. Visit Himadridevi temple, Banihar, Nature park, Buddha Mandir, Himachal mesuem, club house, the temple of Bashistha , Manumaharshi Mandir etc. Maali also has a hot water plant. Certainly the chief attraction is Rotang pass.

Hidimba Temple: 

Surrounded by a beautiful cedar forest at the foot of the Himalayas the temple is having mythological character called Hidimba  and is named after the demon Hidimba Temple in the Mahabharata. Vashist Temple (3km): It is a place of hot springs and a small village, Vashist located on the left bank of river Beas which leads towards Rohtang pass is worthy to have visit. Naggar: The places to see are the Castle, Roerich House and Art gallery. About 20 km from Naggar Bijli Mahadev temple is also worth visiting.


Previous capital of Manali Jagatsukh has a few nice temples done in Shikhara style.

The airport at Bhunter is 50 km from Manali.


The closest narrow gauge railhead is at Joginder Nagar, 165 km away. The closest broad gauge rail heads are Chandigarh (310 km) and Ambala (355 km).


Delhi 570 km, Shimla 280 km. From Delhi, there is a regular HPTDC Luxury and Volvo Coach to Manali. HPTDC runs Luxury coach from Shimla to Manali in tourist season.
