Mysore was the erstwhile capital of the Wodeyar dynasty and is considered the cultural capital of the state. Mysore is the Karnataka's second biggest city, situated in Southern part of the country. Brindavan Gardens:  

Set on the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam the garden is famous for its musical fountains. This beautiful garden is located close to Mysore city. The "musical fountain" light and music show begins in the evening. 

Karanji Kere Nature Park: 

This small lake in the midist of greenaries is nice place for boating.  on the island in Karanji kere. This Nature park is well known for a good variety of birds like pelicans and painted storks. The pride of Mysore's festivals is Dussehra. It is a celebration that lasts for ten days. The rulers of Vijayanagara Empire used to celebrate Dussehra with remarkable brilliance. It is a unique and significant festival of the Hindus.


The Kannadiga new year day (Yugadi) falls in  March/April is celebrated with devotion and delight.


The Mysore Airport or the Mandakalli Airport is the new and sole airport in Mysore.
