This world famous art temple was constructed during the 15th century.This temple is situated in the Aravali ranges. Ranakpur Jain Temple is considered as one of the most important pilgrims place of Jainism. This is the one of the largest Jain temple in India covering an area 40,000 sq.ft. The most stunning feature of this temple is that it has 29 halls, 80 domes and 1444 pillars with magnificient marbel craft. The pillars are unlike in structure. Each of the pillers is decorated with delicate carvings. This huge marble structure building is of prior to centuries, is covered with dense bushes which is very fearful to see from outside great difficulty as well as beauty. This building also consists of several small temples beautifully designed.
Tourists can visit the temple on the way to Jodhpur or Udaipur.
The Ranakpur festival comprised of holy chanting, cultural programmes and Classical music performances. The festival staged usually in November-December for 3 days.
