 – Itinerary for Kinnaur Lahaul Spiti Package –

Day 1: 

Delhi/ Chandigarh / Shimla To Narkanda
Narkanda is a place of beautiful hillscape.

Day 2: 

Narkanda to Sangla (2758 m) Via Sarahan (1920 m, 190 km),
Start for Sangla via Sarahan. Sangla, on the bank of Baspa River, is called as the Gateway to Kinnaur.

Visit impressive Bhimakali temple against a snowy backdrop. Sarahan is famous for its picturesque Meadows, apple orchards, forests, the gassing Sutlej River and the Himalayan peaks.

The region falls under Baspa valley also popularly known as Sangla Valley is one of the “most beautiful valleys in the Himalayas”.

Overnight at Sangla.

Day 3: 

Sangla – Chitkul (3450m) – Sangla
Make trip through snow -clad mountains, apple orchids and alpine forests to Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border. See 500 years old ‘Chitkul Mathi’ temple Rakcham village.

Overnight at Sangla.

Day 4: 

Sangla to Kalpa (2960 m, 51 km)
Go for a hike to the magnificent five-storied high Kamru Fort at Kamru village. Drive for Kalpa via Rekong Peo. On a clear day sacred Kinner Kailash Peak becomes visible throughout the journey.  Overnight at Kalpa.

Day 5: 

Kalpa to Nako (3662 m, 106 km)
Drive to Nako. Enroute visit Nako Monastery.

Day 6:

Nako to Tabo (3280 m, 65 km)
On the  Way to Tabo give some time for famous Nako Lake. Enroute Sumdo village is on the border of Kinnaur and Spiti valley. 19 km from Sumdo village lies Kaurik, which is the last Indian post on the Hindustan-Tibet road.

Visit Giu village famous for its 500 years old mummy of Tibetian Lama which is preserved without any artificial support. Tabo is in Spiti valley.

Overnight at Tabo.

Day 7: Tabo to Kungri (48 km)
Move early to see Tabo monastery, known for its astonishing collections of thangkas, manuscripts, statues, frescos and murals on the walls of the monastery.

Visit Tabo village and enjoy the surrounding hillscape.

Go to Pin valley National Park nestled below the Kungri glacier.  Also visit the Kungri monastery and the picturesque village of Mud.

Overnight at Kungri.

Day 8: 

Kungri to Kaza (3650 m, 33 km).

See around 1,000 year old  Dhankar monastery and The Lalung monastery enroute.

Day 9:

Sight seeing at Kaza
Visit Kibber village and the magnificent Ki monastery, the biggest monastery of Spiti Valley that offers spectacular views of the valley.

Drive to Langza village (14435 ft) and Komic village. Komic is said to be the highest village in Asia. Also visit Langza’s Natural Fossil Centre enroute.

Overnight at Kaza.

Day 1o: 

Kaza to Chandra Taal
Leave early for breathtaking ChandraTaal Lake at an elevation of 14,100 ft in Lahul valley. Cross famous Kunzum La (4550 m) to tenter Lahul valley.

Overnight at Near Chandratal.


Day 11: 

Chandratal to Manali via Rohtang Pass (126 km).

Tour Concludes.
