About Jayanti

If you wish to be immersed in a diverse and rich diversity of natural life, surrounded by forested mountains and overlooking a magnificent white river bed, Jayanti is the place to go. It has wooed many people’s hearts, and its captivating magnetism is sure to leave you spellbound.
Jayanti, sometimes known as the “Queen of Dooars,” is a captivatingly beautiful woodland hamlet located 30 kilometres from Alipurduar in West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri District. It is located alongside the Jayanti River, on the outskirts of the world-famous Buxa Reserve Forest. This is one of the remaining undisturbed pure Dooars places, with views of nature’s bounty—the lush green deep forest, the previously uncontrolled river, and the far hills. Although the Jayanti River is empty for the majority of the year, the white stone pebbles are strewn throughout the riverbed and along its beaches nevertheless serving as a natural barrier between the intimidating Bhutan Hills. The Jayanti Hills is located on the river’s eastern bank, while Jayanti village is located on the western bank.
The soothing sounds of a running river, the chattering of unfamiliar birds, and the rustic woody scent of the forest will rejuvenate your mind and spirit. The most exciting experience of all is driving through the Buxa Tiger Reserve on your way to the Jayanti village. Seeing a herd of elephants, spotted deer, or even peacocks is not uncommon—in fact, it is quite the contrary. The picturesque splendour of the landscape, the hiking routes, the rustling of the leaves, the sound of the forest breeze, and the music of the birds will give you the creeps as you walk through the wilderness.
