Chilapata Homestay

Chilapata Homestay

Associated Property

The Rava family manages the little resort. Sundar Rava, the Homestay’s manager, is a social activist. The home lodge is a two-story structure and offers a stay in traditional local style. The homestay provides views of broad open farmland that abruptly stops as the Chilapata Jungle enters.
Our eco-lodge is within walking distance of the Chilapata Jeep safari booking centre.
The forest is approximately 200 metres ahead of you, and it is not uncommon to witness a herd of elephants or a stray rhino roaming the forest borders in the morning and evening.
The resort has its kitchen and serves delicious and varied cuisine. There are open areas/gardens and parking places available.

Attractions:
The forest and its fauna are the primary attractions of Chilapata. Within the forest, a Jeep safari is provided. Indian Bison (Gaur), Elephant, Rhino, and other varieties of Deer are also typical sightings here. A diversity of avifauna has been observed in the woodlands. Chilapata is historically significant as well. The famed Nal Rajar Garh is a fort from the Gupta era that was built by the Nal Kings.
Although the fort is mainly in ruins now, it is worth seeing when in Chilapata.
Tourists may explore Buxa Tiger Reserve, Mahakal Cave, Pokhri Hill, Buxa Fort, and Bhuta Basti from Chilapata and dwell amid the ruins of the Nal King’s fort and discover more about the legend of the bleeding tree, or go boating on the Bania river while listening to the soothing sound of the river and seeing the breathtaking view of the Chilapata. Chilapata is the place to go if you want to be in the middle of nature and blend in while learning about a historical event.
