Bikaner, the District is situated in the northwest of the State of Rajasthan in northern India and is the administrative control centre of Bikaner District and Bikaner division. The city was established by Rao Bikain 1486.

The city is spotted with scores of sand dunes staying in the north of the desert state retaining the similary of the medieval age glamour that perpetuates the city’s style in daily life. The city is popularly called for having the best riding camels in the world which has also having the largest camel research centre and its breeding farm in the world. Not only that it is also popularly famous for sweets and snacks (or namkeens in Hindi).

Junagarh Fort:

During the reign of Raja Rai Singh from 1571 to 1612 the fort was built by him who had never been captured by the enemies. Rai Singh held an important position in the courts of both Akbar and Jehangir. During his regim Raja Rai Singh travelled comprehensively which make him a admirer of art and architecture.

There are some glorious palaces like Anup Mahal, Ganga Niwas and Rang Mahal or palace of delight. The Har Mandir is the grand chapel for the imperial family for worshipping their gods and goddesses. These palaces, constructed in red sandstone and marble, make a charming company of courtyards, balconies, kiosks and windows scattered all over the structure. Junagarh fort also houses a museum.

Camel Festival:
