The Hindu pilgrimage of Pushkar, in Ajmer District, Rajasthan is one of the oldest cities of India. The date of its origin is not known, but epic associates Lord Brahma with its creation. Pushkar famous for the Pushkar Lake, and temples.

The word 'Pushkar' means lotus flower, which is considered to be the seat of Brahma, one of the Hindu holy trinity, who is worshipped as the creator of this world.

Though Brahma is considered to be the creator of the world, Pushkar is the only temple of this important deity in the whole world and the place is also considered as Adi Teerth.

Bramha temple:

It is one of the very few shrines for Lord Bramha in the world.

Rangji temple:

This Vishnu temple was built in the style of South India.

Panchkund Shiva temple:

It is nearly 2 to 3 kms away from the Pushkar Lake and the shiva temple is said to have been constructed by Pancha Pandavas.

Savitri temple:

It is situated atop of a hill close to the lake which is devoted in the name of the goddess Savitri, wife of Hindu God Brahma. This temple is the second most sacred temple in Pushkar.

Pushkar Lake:

This very ancient Lake is a holy site which attracts lacs of tourists as well as pilgimas every year. The lake is enveloped by 52 different ghats to take bath, where people of Hindu religion come to take a dip in the month of Kartick (October-November).
