This is a famous famous centre for cultural sites for spiritualism in the Thiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu. Thiruvannamalai has become a living place for many yogis and siddhars in olden periods. The place has got its name from the mountain called Tiruvannan Malai. According to the belief the ego of the Gods Vishnu and Brahma were destructed in this sacred place by Lord Shiva. The Lord in Thiruvannamalai is known as Ardhanareshwarar which is a form in which both Lord Shiva and Goddess Umadevi are represented collectively.

Arunachaleswara Temple:     This temple is a beautiful attraction for the visitors in South India. Arunachaleswara Temple consists of 66 metre high gopuram, seven prakars and nine gopurams. King krishnadevarya constructed this second tallest gopuram in the world, during the 15th century. This temple took 25 acres of land.
