Shri Bhanu Rai and his family own the Bungkulung Retreat Eco Huts. The family is friendly and well-behaved. The land is steadfastly kept plastic-free, and any available plastic bottles have been transformed into sapling pots.
The property contains three well-furnished cottages, two of which have two bedrooms and are ideal for small families, while the third has four beds and may accommodate a bigger group. This hut’s open courtyard is lush with flowers and trees. You can only spend your time in the garden. The food was incredibly fresh and excellent. The Eco Huts provides vehicular service according to your needs.

Bungkulung is a stand-alone destination. The greatest thing to do here is to relax and listen to the sounds of nature. You can also go for a walk around the village and learn about Bungkulung’s eco-tourism. You can learn about tea processing at the tea factory if you are interested in Tea Tourism. Bungkulung is a bird watcher’s and photographer’s dream, offering opportunities to see a wide variety of Himalayan birds. A short stroll to the adjacent Balason River is also an option. You can also rent a cab to drive you to Gyaman Bridge, Mirik, or even Dudhia for a brief tour. Because Bungkulung Jungle Camp is located in the middle of the jungle, you can go for a short hike and explore the area.
In Murmah and Gayabari, you can explore the local tea factory and tea gardens. You can also go to Mirik, which is only 15 kilometres away, and have a boat trip on the famed Mirik Lake. Day visits to Mirik’s Bokar Monastery and Rangbang’s orange groves are both possible.
How to reach Bungkulung Homestay:
Bunkulung is located on the Siliguri-Mirik route, 48 kilometres from Siliguri. Tourists can hire a car in New Jalpaiguri and travel to Bungkulung. The Siliguri-Mirik route takes about 2 hours to go to Bungkulung from Siliguri You can also rent a car in Mirik and then change for a car in Bungkulung.
