Description

The Dooars, also known as the Duars, are alluvial floodplains in eastern-northeast India that lie south of the Himalayan outer foothills and north of the Brahmaputra River basin. This region is about 30 kilometres wide and 350 kilometres long, stretching from the Teesta River in West Bengal to the Dhansiri River in Assam.
