Description
Lepchajagat translates to “place of the Lepcha people” or “village of the Lepcha.” The town is surrounded by rhododendron, pine, and oak forests, which provide a wealth of natural beauty. On the north-eastern side of Lepchajagat, Mount Kanchenjunga stands tall with its surrounding peaks. This is a fantastic place for nature lovers to stay in an out-of-the-way setting that is both natural and quiet. The only sound during the day is the chirping of different birds.
The major attraction of Lepchajagat is its proximity to Darjeeling while yet allowing you to stay in a beautiful setting with breathtaking natural views. You may spend the entire day seeing the village.
