The location provides a spectacular view of the Kanchenjunga mountain. A huge portion of the snow-capped mountain can be seen on a clear day. Bird watchers will have a field day here, since the area is home to a vast variety of species, and the Lava-Lolegaon sector is one of the most appealing birding spots in the region. Jhandi Dara, a nearby mountaintop, offers stunning sunrise views. On a clear day, a visit to Jhanidi Dara in the early morning, about 4/5 kilometres from Lolegaon, might provide amazing vistas.
While staying in Lolegaon, you can visit several tourist attractions, the most notable of which is The Canopy Walk. It’s a 180-meter-long wooden treetop bridge that winds its way through the dense jungle. The bridge gradually rises in height until you are strolling through the treetops in the middle of a deep forest, making you feel thrilled and a part of nature. On a day journey, tourists can see Lava Monastery, Changey Falls, and Kalimpong. The tour includes stops in Rishop (21 km), Charkhole (29 km), and Kolakham (29 km).

Between Siliguri and Guwahati, National Highway No. 31 runs through Chalsa. District road connects Chalsa and Lolegaon through Lava. It is possible to reach Lolegaon from Kalimpong (56 kilometres). The nearest railway station to Loleygaon is New Mal Junction (79 kilometres). The NJP railroad station is about 97 kilometres away.
