Port Blair-Havelock Itinerary: 5 Days/4 Nights
Day 01: Reach Port Blair
Pickup from Port Blair Airport and transfer to hotel.
After lunch, visit Corbyn’s Cove Beach (9 km)– a coconut palm fringed beach, ideal for swimming, sun-basking & bathing.
Go for Port Blair (City Tour)– covering the famous Cellular Jail, Anthropological Museum, Fisheries (Marine) Museum, Naval Marine Museum (Samudrika), Andaman Water Sports Complex (for water & adventure sports like water-skiing boats, water scooters, tube rides, etc.) and the Cottage Industries Emporium (Sagarika)– for shopping & souvenirs.
In the evening, attend the enthralling Sound and Light Show at Cellular Jail – where the heroic saga of the Indian freedom struggle is brought alive.
Overnight stay in Port Blair.
Day 02: Port Blair to Havelock
Early morning travel to Phoenix bay Harbour to take a private catamaran M V MAKRUZZ / Coastal Cruise which takes one and half hour journey for Havelock Island.
Check in to the resort.
Post lunch starts for sightseeing of places in and around Havelock.
Radhanagar Beach: After lunch vehicle will be in the resort to take you to Radhanagar beach- Asia’s Best Beach and rated amongst world’s top ten beaches. Radhanagar Beach (Beach #7) is the most beautiful on the island and was rated as the best in Asia by ‘Time’ in 2004. Avail the opportunity of wonderful swimming and great snorkeling facilities. Enjoy the fascinating sunset here.
Overnight in Havelock.
Day 03: Havelock to Port Blair
After Breakfast proceeds to Elephant Beach Embark on the most memorable snorkeling trip, just 40 min by Boat. It’s also a great place to just spend time on the beach and relax. The beach is very scenic with fallen trees and white sand giving the photographer some interesting shots. The reef here starts very close to shore at a depth of about 1 metre. The large reef is mostly made up of hard coral and has plenty of marine life.
In the evening return from Havelock Island to Port Blair.
Overnight stay in Port Blair.
Day 04: North Bay-Ross-Viper Island
After breakfast visit Andaman Water Sports Complex from where ferry starts for North Bay- to see coral reefs, exotic varieties of beautiful ornamental fishes and other marine life.
Optional Activities – Snorkelling, Glass bottom boat ride, Swimming, Trekking.
From North bay start for Ross Island– from where the British governed the entire A&N Islands, prior to India’s Independence. This island is an ideal destination for nature walks amidst sylvan surroundings with deers, peacocks, exotic birds, etc.
Then proceed for a leisurely cruise (Harbour Cruise) in a steamer along the Port Blair Harbour – which takes one to Viper Island. The gallows atop a hillock here are sight to watch. Return to Port Blair.

Day 05: Depart from Port Blair
Drop at Airport for return journey.
Things you must know about Andaman and Nicobar Islands
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands, located in the east of the Indian mainland geographically, float in splendid isolation in the Bay of Bengal. Once a hill range extending from Myanmar to Indonesia, these picturesque undulating islands, islets numbering around 572, are covered with dense rain-fed, damp and evergreen forests and endless varieties of exotic flora and fauna. Most of these islands (about 550) are in the Andaman Group, 28 of which are inhabited. The smaller Nicobars, comprise some 22 main islands (10 inhabited). The Andaman Wood Pigeon, Andaman Padauk and Dugong are declared as State Bird, State Tree and State Animal respectively. There are about 96 Wildlife Sanctuaries, nine National Parks and one Biosphere Reserve in the islands. These islands are blessed with the bounties of both southwest and northeast monsoons.
